EDIP — European Defence Industry Programme
The bridge from research to industrial readiness: EDIP provides about €1.5 billion in grants for 2025–2027 and creates a framework for Defence Projects of Common Interest and joint armament structures (SEAPs). The Council gave final approval in December 2025.
What it funds
Industrial ramp-up, supply-chain resilience, Defence Projects of Common Interest, and the structures (SEAPs) for joint armament programmes.
Who is eligible
Beneficiaries must be EU-established with executive management in the Union; at least 65% of component cost from the EU/EEA; the product's design authority generally in the EU.
How to access
Calls and actions under the EDIP work programme; SMEs can enter via a SEAP consortium.
