EUDIS — EU Defence Innovation Scheme
The innovation strand of the EDF, built to lower the barrier into defence for SMEs, start-ups and non-traditional players. The 2026 work programme allocates about €231 million across grants, equity and support.
What it funds
SME calls (development up to €6m; research up to €4m, research 100% funded), the Business Accelerator (up to 40 start-ups/year with a €120,000 seed voucher), up to 15 days of business coaching, the Defence Equity Facility backing private defence/dual-use funds, and BraveTech (~€35.3m, EU and Ukrainian start-ups).
Who is eligible
SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups — including companies with no prior defence experience; cascade-funding rules per call.
