The European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP) , adopted by the Council of the European Union on 7 November 2025 ( Council document 14814/25 ), recognises that supply chains are the nervous system of Europe’s defence capacity. To strengthen them, the Regulation establishes a permanent system of mapping, monitoring, and stress testing for the European defence industrial base.
