Under the Military Programming Law (Loi de programmation militaire, LPM) 2024–2030, the government has committed to reinforcing both operational readiness and the sovereign character of defense production.
More than 4,000 companies constitute France’s defense industrial and technological base, supporting nearly 210,000 direct jobs.
