What's inside
Defence M&A now fails or reprices on regulatory grounds more often than on commercial ones: FDI screening, golden-power regimes, third-country control effects on programme participation, export-control perimeters and the strings attached to public funding already received by the target. This pack structures that screening for the deal team — investment committee, corporate development, counsel — before the data room gets expensive.
The 16-tab workbook walks deal and target profiles through an FDI risk map (including Reg. (EU) 2026/1386, which applies from 17 January 2028, while national regimes apply now), third-country control and programme-impact tests, export-control due diligence and public-funding strings, and produces a DD document request list. Both layers are mapped: Regulation (EU) 2026/1386 applies from 17 January 2028, while national FDI regimes apply now — the FDI risk map covers this explicitly, alongside Regulation (EU) 2019/452.
