Objective
SciMo developed an innovative winding technology, which will revolutionize and disrupt the electric motor market. This unique technology tackles the core problems of modern electric motors that are material efficiency, power density, efficiency and cost. The SciMo motors have superior properties:• 60% higher copper density,• 90% higher cooling efficiency,• 75% higher power density,• 75% higher material efficiency,• price advantage of over 30%.So far, the winding technology has been successfully demonstrated by manufacturing over 70 motor prototypes for a variety of highly challenging applications in aerospace and motor sport where higher prices could be charged. However, the full price advantage of these motors can only be realized in a fully automated and high-volume production (>100.000 motors/year). Hence, SciMo will focus on the biggest markets, the automotive sector. The transformation to electric vehicle generates a huge market.
