Objective

Methinks aims at revolutionising stroke diagnosis by empowering any hospital in the world to evaluate at any time all treatments options. Today, this is only possible using advanced medical imaging, which is available in around 50% of the hospitals. Methinks will do it with standard medical imaging, which is available 24/7 in any hospital also in rural areas and less developed countries. It leads to a reduction of time-to-treatment of up to 60 minutes: In stroke, “time is brain”, i.e. every minute counts and means that the patient can talk, walk, have cognitive capabilities… and live. It will also open a huge market opportunity, since our technology can run in all small, mid and major hospitals around the world.Bypassing advanced medical imaging is a paradigm shift that requires a large and expensive clinical trial. That is why we are considered as a high-risk company by VCs, needing the support of the EIC Accelerator. With the EIC support, we have the team to make that shift real.
