Objective

Electrification of transport and transition to renewable energy generation are essential to cut our carbon emissions in half by 2030. Batteries are a key component to allow this change. But they also remain a major bottleneck in the scaling of green technologies. Battery production relies on raw materials like lithium, cobalt and nickel, all of which are already in short supply. Yet the green boom is just beginning. To enable our “green” future, the battery industry needs a revolution.BroadBit has developed fundamentally new sodium-based battery technology for high-performance batteries made from low cost and widely available raw materials. We have redesigned the entire battery chemistry and developed new safe and clean dry production process. With the help of EIC, we will finalize our cell chemistry, fine-tune the production processes and strengthen partnerships to consistently reach commercial quality and cycle life targets required for successful market introduction and scale up.
