Objective
CRAMIK is a deep-tech SME developing CRAMIO, a patented, solvent-free binder platform that unlocks scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable manufacturing of advanced technical ceramics through additive manufacturing (AM) and ceramic injection moulding (CIM). CRAMIO enables high-load processing of ultra-hard materials such as silicon carbide (SiC), boron carbide (B₄C), and ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs), which were previously incompatible with AM. Its unique plug-and-play pellet format supports AM (slurry, filament, pellet) and CIM workflows using standard equipment, democratizing access to high-performance ceramics while eliminating toxic solvents and reducing energy input.CRAMIO directly contributes to the objectives of EIC Accelerator Challenge 2.1 by accelerating the industrial upscaling and integration of advanced materials in strategic sectors including aerospace, energy, semiconductors, and defence. Its safe and sustainable formulation aligns with the EU’s Green Deal, Net-Zero Industry Act, and Raw Materials Act. In parallel, CRAMIK is pioneering a circular business line to transform traditional and technical ceramic waste into second-generation feedstocks, validated with industrial partners in Europe and Japan.Currently at TRL 6, CRAMIO has been validated in relevant industrial settings by partners including Arburg, CoorsTek, Técnicas Reunidas, ESK-Schunk, and Ecomaison. Seven Letters of Intent confirm strong market interest across Europe and Asia. The EIC Accelerator will support CRAMIK in scaling its production capacity from 15,000 to 75,000 kg/year, completing TRL 8–9 validation, and securing market deployment. By 2032, annual revenues are projected to exceed €20.5M, with CRAMIO enabling a new era of digital, circular, and high-performance ceramic manufacturing in Europe.
