Objective
The immune system and its disorders are particularly complex to model, posing significant challenges for drug development. Due tothe limited representativeness of preclinical models, nearly half of clinical trial failures in immunology and inflammation stem frominsufficient efficacy. The rise of artificial intelligence capabilities offers a transformative opportunity to address this issue. With the support of the EICAccelerator project, France-based start-up Scienta Lab aims to develop a proprietary multimodal foundation model speciallydesigned for immunology and inflammation. This advanced AI technology will enhance traditional preclinical approaches byvalidating the efficacy of new assets at the preclinical stage. By improving clinical trial success rates of innovative best-in-class assets, this innovation paves the way for precision medicine in immunology and inflammation.
