Objective
The rise of quantum computing requires a post-quantum cybersecurity approach. By 2030, fully error-corrected quantum computers will be capable of overpowering commonly used traditional encryption protocols, creating a ""harvest now, decrypt later"" problem where hackers are storing encrypted data now, anticipating the ability to crack it later. Furthermore, enterprises use out-of-date systems, and mathematical encryption has many limitations when it comes to quantum computing. Post-quantum encryption (PQC) approaches might fail and cyberattacks cause great disruptions in the global economy. As cybersecurity advances, so does hacker technology to compromise it.Now is the right time for a paradigm change from mathematics to photonics solutions like CyberRidge, as we provide the only commercially-available photonic encryption solution to protect data from cybersecurity attacks for post-quantum computing. Our Carmel device is the only “record-proof encryption” solution in the world that can solve the ""harvest now, decrypt later"" problem, as all data is protected and there is nothing to hack. CyberRidge’s Carmel product, a fiber-optics communication system for datacom and telecom, supports optical links of 80-100km at speeds of 100+ Gbps. Key features include data harvesting immunity, optical key encoding, stealth transmission, metadata elimination, product-level security, and network compatibility. We founded CyberRidge Ltd. in 2021 in Israel and target a €9B market (optical encryption plus quantum cryptography market comparable to photonic encryption) with a direct pricing model. Our team of 15 experts, led by CEO Prof. Dan Sadot and CTO Dr. Eyal Wohlgemuth, has a gender balance of 28% in leadership and 27% across the team.CyberRidge aligns with the EU's second quantum revolution, supporting the development of a quantum ecosystem and responding to the EIC Challenge “Enabling the Smart Edge and Quantum Technology Components” by securing post-quantum communication.""
