Objective

MOA Foodtech: Pioneering Sustainable Food SolutionsFounded in 2020, MOA Foodtech is revolutionizing the food industry by creating sustainable proteins and ingredients to address global challenges. Backed by €4.26 million in venture capital and €1.928 million in grants, we are supported by leading investors like Barilla and ICOS Capital. With 27 pilot projects and 5 license agreements with major players like Nestlé and Barilla, MOA is shaping the future of food production. The Global Food ChallengeBy 2050, the world’s population will hit 9.2 billion, driving a 70% increase in protein demand. Traditional agriculture, which already occupies 77% of global farmland and contributes up to 30% of greenhouse gas emissions, cannot sustainably meet this need. MOA’s solution offers an alternative through innovative fermentation techniques, drastically reducing environmental impact.MOA’s Breakthrough TechnologyOur Non-GMO Directed Fermentation platform combines the benefits of both biomass and precision fermentation, without regulatory delays. Powered by our AI platform, Albatros, it allows us to produce high-quality, customizable ingredients using pre-approved microorganisms, ensuring faster, cost-effective production. This innovation positions us as a leader in sustainable food ingredients, with products that are scalable and market-ready.High-Growth PotentialMOA operates in the fast-growing €511 billion food ingredients market, targeting a Serviceable Obtainable Market of €516 million in Europe and North America. We seek €2.258 million in grant funding and €12.5 million in equity from the EIC Accelerator to scale production and drive commercialization. With our cutting-edge technology and a clear growth strategy, MOA is set to lead the future of sustainable food innovation.
