Objective

Today, the lack of effective imaging kills. Early diagnosis can cure most deadly diseases, and stroke is a prime example. With one in four adults likely to experience a stroke, timely detection is crucial. Unfortunately, current imaging tools fall short for bedside diagnosis, wasting valuable time both in ambulances and at the patient’s bedside. To implement widespread screening and advanced therapies, to provide a diagnosis at the right time and thus save lives, we would need to increase the accessibility of CT scans and MRIs by 100-fold and drastically improve their limitations. The solution lies in enhancing ultrasound, a portable and accessible imaging modality. At Resolve Stroke, we are unlocking ultrasound's full potential with SYLVER, our innovative point-of-care ultrasound system powered by Software-Based Ultrasound technologies. SYLVER harnesses 100% of raw ultrasound data to deliver life-saving insights through advanced 3D algorithms and imaging. By combining ultrasound with advanced post-processing algorithms, SYLVER expands the boundaries of what ultrasound can achieve. Key opinion leaders are already identifying new critical applications for our technologies, extending beyond neurology into fields like oncology, to monitor tumor aggressiveness, and transplant vascularization. With access to this new ultrasound data, novel ultrasound-based biomarkers, such as RS-LVO (Large Vessel Occlusion detection) and RS-USP (Ultrasound Perfusion Score), have the potential to revolutionize stroke management and brain care. These biomarkers offer critical, quantitative insights comparable to those obtained through CT scans, but with the added benefits of the ultrasound modality. EIC support will enable us to develop, validate, and integrate RS-LVO and RS-USP into the SYLVER system, with validation in both laboratory and clinical settings to confirm their efficacy in real-world applications, at patient’s bedside.
