Objective

The System-on-Chip (SoC) design market is reaching its limits. EmpoSoC is a completely new design solution and methodology for SoC design which will enable the design of more complex and higher performance electronic components faster and with a lower cost. Also, it will make the SoC design process more affordable for non-design experts and new players such as SMEs and start-ups. EmpoSoC design solution is a combination of a pre-design library of SoC subsystems and design software which significantly increases the automation degree of the SoC design process. After 20 years of research and development and close collaborations with TOP20 semiconductor companies in the world, Defacto has developed a unique know-how that has finally led to the EmpoSoC design solution. The first version of this solution already meets the first key market expectations according to major players. Moreover, the market opportunity window for Defacto is strongly favorable to lead a new market segment and help position the EU as a key territory in the area of semiconductor design.
