Objective

Deftpower will develop, bring to market and scale across Europe an innovative plug-and-play virtual power plant of electric vehicles. To its customers, Deftpower offers a SaaS platform as a white label charging app for normal and smart charging, connecting EV drivers to charge points and energy markets in Europe. The platform can influence the charging cycle, enabling demand response and peak-shaving, which will make grid management for DSOs and TSOs more cost efficient. Through developing the platform with a machine-learning based forecasting model, Deftpower can extract and trade flexibility from EVs. Grid operators can access this flexibility and use it to maintain a stable and reliable grid. EV owners can monetize their vehicles by providing them for grid balancing, being rewarded through Deftpower’s service. By ensuring that EVs are not only a cleaner mode of transportation, but also a key player in providing flexibility to the grid, Deftpower is helping to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future by reducing the costs of EVs, avoiding costly grid investments and shifting the demand of electricity to moments in the day where electricity is cleaner. The latter will also improve the ROI on green energy investments such as wind and solar power generation.
