On 18 June 2025 at the Paris Air Show, France and Sweden formally launched a new defence-technology roadmap to deepen bilateral cooperation. French Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu and Swedish Defence Minister Pål Jonson signed an agreement covering key areas such as air surveillance, missile systems, naval ships, R&D innovation and munitions supplies. This roadmap builds on earlier ties (including a 2024 Franco-Swedish defence declaration) and aims to synchronize equipment, procurement and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
