About this report
Beyond Aero is a French deep-tech start-up founded in 2020 by ISAE-Supaéro and École Polytechnique graduates. It is developing the first all-electric business jet powered by a hydrogen fuel-cell propulsion system .
The company’s flagship concept, the BYA-1 (branded “One”), is designed to carry 6–8 passengers for up to 800 nautical miles on gaseous hydrogen . Backed by a mix of private venture capital and French government funding via the France 2030 initiative, Beyond Aero has already demonstrated a scale prototype (“Blériot”) in early 2024.
