About this report

Introduction: Spirit AeroSystems (Spirit UK) is a major aerostructures manufacturer with significant UK operations (formerly Bombardier’s Short Brothers). It supplies critical fuselage, wing and composite structures to leading aircraft programs, serving both civilian (Airbus, Boeing) and military customers .

Notably, Spirit UK was the prime contractor for the UK “Mosquito” uncrewed “loyal wingman” demonstrator (since cancelled) and participates in the RAF-led Team Tempest combat-air partnership . Its Belfast and Prestwick plants produce sections for Airbus A220/A320/A350 and Boeing models , making Spirit integral to transatlantic aerospace supply chains.
