About this report
SilMach is a French deep-tech company (S.A. incorporated in Besançon) specialising in hybrid silicon MEMS microsystems . Founded in 2003 by Patrice Minotti and colleagues from CNRS micromechanics labs , it pioneered energy-free microsensors (the ChronoMEMS family) and electrostatic micro-actuators ( PowerMEMS ) for dual-use applications.
Its flagship ChronoMEMS devices, co-developed with the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), will be integrated into French Army ballistic plates to detect shocks and cracks in real time . Similarly, its PowerMEMS silicon motors (Winner of a CES 2024 “Best of Innovation” Award ) drive high-precision actuation (e.g.
