Sako Oy Ab is a Finnish firearms manufacturer founded in 1921 and headquartered in Riihimäki, Finland . Now Europe’s largest rifle producer (over 100,000 rifles per year ), Sako designs, engineers and manufactures high-end military and hunting rifles and ammunition.
The company has been part of Beretta Holding (Italy) since 2000 , but remains strongly Finnish in operations: its headquarters and sole production facility are in Riihimäki, where 400+ employees work on state-of-the-art weapon systems .
