Huta Stalowa Wola S.A. (HSW) is a veteran Polish state-owned defense industrial company based in Stalowa Wola, Poland. As part of the Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) conglomerate, it is the principal manufacturer of Poland’s modern artillery and armored support systems.
HSW’s flagship products – the 155 mm AHS Krab self-propelled howitzer and 120 mm Rak self-propelled mortar – are deployed across NATO’s eastern flank, notably in Polish artillery regiments and Ukrainian forces . The firm has recently expanded into gearboxes (acquiring an Allison Transmissions plant) and Patriot air-defense systems (producing M903 launchers with Raytheon) to deepen its technological base .
