About this report

The 2025 European Defence Fund award round should not be read as a routine funding cycle or as a simple list of successful proposals. It is the first EDF outcome that the European Commission explicitly places within the strategic frame of the Defence Readiness Roadmap 2030 and the four Readiness Flagships. That makes the published results unusually important.

For the first time, the public record allows a disciplined reconstruction of what the Commission has shown itself willing to support in practice: not only specific projects, but recurring patterns of strategic alignment, consortium construction, technological concentration, industrial positioning, and capability relevance.
