About this report

Atla Lasers AS is a Trondheim-based spin-off from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) that has been developing compact, fiber-based ultrafast laser sources in the mid-infrared (2–4 µm) range.

Its founders are experienced scientists and entrepreneurs (including Professor Irina Sorokina, who serves as CEO ), and the company has steadily matured its prototypes into demonstrators at international photonics forums. Atla’s lasers are designed for fast, sensitive molecular spectroscopy (hydrocarbon sensing, chemical fingerprinting) and precision materials processing .
